AIOU Eligibility Criteria

Some things, also known as eligibility factors, are used by AIOU to choose which students to accept. The requirements to get into AIOU in 2023 are listed below.

Matric Eligibility Criteria

If someone wants to apply for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Program, they must have passed the Middle/9th pass or fail or SSC fails certificate Examination and has a certificate from a Board/Government School or Registered School.

If the middle school test was taken at a private school and passed, it must have the registration number or a signature from the district education officer.

M.A Eligibility Criteria

You can get into M.A. or M.Sc. programs if you have at least a 2nd class bachelor’s degree with relevant courses. The topics of Statistics, Mathematics, Mass Communication, Sociology, Physics, Chemistry, Urdu, and Forestry Extension will be judged on their own merit.

MPhil and PhD Eligibility Criteria

To get into an MS or MPhil program, you need a relevant master’s degree with at least a second-class grade and to have passed the NTS GAT (General) test with at least 50% points.

To get into a Ph.D. program, you need to have an MS or MPhil with a first division or 3:1 CGPA in the appropriate subject and have passed the NTS GAT (Subject) Test with at least 60% marks.
